Common Criteria as Evaluation Method

SRC is recognised by the Federal Office for Information Security (German: Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, short "BSI") as a competent laboratory to conduct security evaluations according to the international Common Criteria Standard (ISO 15408).
If you wish to proof the compliance of your product, e.g. terminals or smart cards, with the hardware and software security requirements of an internationally recognized standard, the Common Criteria are a suitable instrument.
SRC has extensive experience with Common Criteria evaluations and we can support you in achieving the internationally recognised certificate which proves the compliance of your products with the applicable security requirements.

Our Offer

SRC offers the evaluation of all types of IT products according to all levels of the Common Criteria. We evaluate e.g. digital passports,  Smart Metering Systems, products used in the health care sector, software, network devices, payment terminal, signature components, tachograph components, and biometric systems.

We furthermore offer consulting services regarding the Common Criteria to both manufacturers and users of IT security products. The consulting services include e.g.

  • Workshops and seminars on the Common Criteria.
  • Creation of manufacturer documentation which forms the basis of the evaluations,
  • Definition of Security Targets,
  • Creation of Protection Profiles

Handover of a CC Certificate during the International CC Conference 2012

During the 13th International CC Conference, which took place in Paris from September 18th to 20th, 2012, the CC certificat for the product SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption, version 5.60 was handed over by Mr.  Joachim Weber, specialized divisional director for standardization and certification at the BSI (on the right in the picture) to Mr. Joachim Schneider form the company Sophos (left aside).
